Another FRIDAY

Another week is gone

Better tha the last one

At least we can still cherish

some illusions

Soon it's Christmas time

I went through some decorations

 in the shops yesterday

But I don't know if I can "dare"

and enjoy Christmas mood

Festa!

On Sunday we celebrated E.'s Birthday

with a party for all the Italian family:

16 adults + 8 kids (from 3 to 11 years)

When we woke up we had a nice surprise:

first snow in the village

(Really early indeed)

Last year kids had fun in the garden

playing football

and we had an aperitif on the terrace

enjoying a really warm Autumn sun.

I was a bit nervous

so I put up my alarm clock at 6 o'clock

but I forgot to put hours' hands backwards

and I didn't realized until I went out in the street

and watched at the church clock.......

All this tasty and rich menu

was possible thanks to my Mum

that prepared most of the courses

and my aunt M. 's help

in the house

(treasure was hidden in the washing machine in the laundry)

A little artist

E. really likes to draw

even if lately Playstation games are getting

more important than
P E N C I L S

We give him a fixed time to play

otherwise he would spend all day in front of the TV

So when PS time is over
he comes back to his pencils turning them into
skating boys, caterpillars, firemen trucks,
tractors, cars and animals

These first weeks at school went pretty well

He is doing fine and it seems he enjoys
He just complained once telling me

he didn't want to go to school anymore

because his teacher told me 

he should use pencil instead of using pen to write

A Wonderful Day

Yesterday it was E's first day
at primary school
He was really thrilled and a bit nervous
The evening before when he was going to bed
he sat on the stair looking at me and told me
"You know Mum it's so nice to learn so many things"
I took him in the classroom
where we met the teachers
When I looked into his eyes
I had the impression
he was trying to hold back some tears
at that moment I felt my eyes filling with tears
but we both managed
He started to relax when he was asked
to choose his own desk
and when his cousin came
and they started to show each other
pencil cases and exercise books
When he came back he said
he really liked to go to school
and that that day had been a

Soon

These hot last August days
don't make us think of Autumn for sure
After a rainy and cold August
Hot Summer again
But we are getting nearer and nearer
to the beginning of school

September looks just
round the corner

E.'s cousin was celebrating his

So hot more than 30° degrees
Here we are Italian climate again.

Friday night

Last night we were at the
final performance
organized by the summer school
We had a lot of fun
Music, singing, funny acting
E. acted in Old MacDonald song
as a OX
This year the summer school
was a really good and educational
experience for E.

Today we have a birthday party at E's cousin.

A cup of coffee

I'm not very fond of coffee indeed
but every time we have guests
you cannot finish a lunch
without a cup of coffee
We have an expresso machine
which is mainly for guests
since I just drink instant coffee with milk
mainly in the morning
and M. drinks American coffee
We also have this typical
MOKA machine
that we use every now and then

Special guests

My sister's kids L. & C.
will be our guests tonight.
They will have dinner and sleep at us
They get along very well with E.
And they are really nice kids
E. is really excited at the idea
of his cousins sleeping here.

Mountain snorkeling

E.'s swimming pool got a bit too small now.

It was fine when he was a baby

but now it looks like more a TUB.

It's fine just to get some fresh

and playing in the water.

It's Friday!

Here we are F R I D A Y at last!
Still really H O T
Yesterday I put the thermometer
outside in the sun
it almost exploded.
Temperature got up to 49 degrees
(then I put it inside)
Temperature in the office was around 30 degrees
Fortunately at home we have around 24 degrees
and sleeping is no problem.
Tomorrow BEACH DAY ......

There is a big amount of laundry
waiting for me at home

to be ironed and

put it back in the closet

I wish I could open

my walk in closet

and find the magic world of Narnia

or at least a magic spell or a wand

to get all my laundry

Much better

E. is feeling much better.
No more pain since last night
but the doctor suggested an antibiotic therapy
I'm not very fond of antibiotics and I'm always worried
of possible side effects and allergies
(once E. had a skin rush)
But since there's this bad infection in his ear
I decided that probably this was the best thing to do
(the doctor reassured me about possible side effects).
It took so long to convince first me and then E. to drink his medicine
(He didn't like the banana taste)
Am I worrying too much?
I always fear that something
impredictable can happen to him
