 Last Saturday

Christmas Market

 in an ancient small old village

Hot chocolate, lights,

decorations and candles,

Christmas carrols

So magic

despite of the nasty rain



Dreaming of

Snow yesterday.

White all around

Real Christmas landscape

So nice to stay home

surrounded by all this white light

I just wish this could be a Christmas like

the "ones I used to know"

Time is running so fast

November is almost gone

Another year is almost gone

I still cannot realize that

After all the worries of the past days

today I woked up relaxed

and had a long breakfast
with no thoughts or hurry

enjoying this momentary
 peaceful easy feeling
Weather is going to change

Things are going to change

I have no thoughts this morning

 I'm just waiting

Fever at 40,5

Came so unexpected

Never happened before

Panic

All night awake

Checking temperature

Checking the watch

Waiting for the next paracetamol dose

Putting wet towels on his head and body

Relief at dawn

No more try

Today I found these pictures from November 2009.

I have always been fascinated by the witch's house

in the fairy tale of Hansel & Gretel

and I've always been a bit "jealous"

of this gourgeous, perfect

Xstmas ginger bread houses.

Why don't try and build my own

ginger bread house?

At Ikea I found a nice red box

with ginger bread parts cut in the shape of a house

just to "glue" together.

So once home E. & I started to prepare

the caramel (according to the instructions in the box)

to glue all the parts and candies.

It took all my culinary skill

not to get my finger tips burned while trying to

glue the parts of the house together

before it got sticky and stiff.

At least despite my clumsy building technique
the house didn't collapsed

in the next days.

Anyway

No ginger bread houses
this year.

and watch this dark rainy day passing by

without any dark thought

Such a nice feeling
to be at home

Another week is gone

Better tha the last one

At least we can still cherish

some illusions

Soon it's Christmas time

I went through some decorations

 in the shops yesterday

But I don't know if I can "dare"

and enjoy Christmas mood

Soon gone

Soon leaves will be all gone

and nature wrapped in the Winter spell

of silence and darkness

But in Spring the spell will be gone

and leaves will grow again on the trees

Other leaves, new leaves,

that will fall and melt in the earth 

the next Autumn.

Not the ones we are watching falling today

These will be gone

forever

 This is Life.

And we are just leaves

Festa!

On Sunday we celebrated E.'s Birthday

with a party for all the Italian family:

16 adults + 8 kids (from 3 to 11 years)

When we woke up we had a nice surprise:

first snow in the village

(Really early indeed)

Last year kids had fun in the garden

playing football

and we had an aperitif on the terrace

enjoying a really warm Autumn sun.

I was a bit nervous

so I put up my alarm clock at 6 o'clock

but I forgot to put hours' hands backwards

and I didn't realized until I went out in the street

and watched at the church clock.......

All this tasty and rich menu

was possible thanks to my Mum

that prepared most of the courses

and my aunt M. 's help
