Brr Brr freezing minus 14

Temperatures were promising
nothing warm
this morning.
So we waited until the sun was really high in the sky
& went up to ski.
E. is improving a lot.
He is always loooking for moguls to jump on
& really enjoys skiing.
The trouble is that now he is trusting too much his skills
and he skis a bit too fast.
We really had a good day together.

Working all the time

Working Working Working
all the time

Far in the past windsurfing time!
Now the only boards M. handles belong to somebody else

"Healthy" Sunday Breakfast

Last night we had dinner
at our neighbour's.

They just moved here in december.
We got some left over
from the dessert. Ready for my breakfast.
E. is still sleeping & M. went to work early this morning.
I like to wake up and have
some time just for me

when nobody is around

A mid-winter night's dream

This is what we can see
from our windows in the moonlight.
Down the village with all its different lives
where everybody knows everybody
and up the mountains
so white and mysterious
where secrets can still be kept.

Damn! Virus is back.

E. is sick again!
It looks like the curse of every weekend!
He didn't feel well this morning.
No real symptons, just a real pale face and little stomach ache.
So he is home with grandma & grandpa

A brand new day

Time is something that everyone reaches
at the rate of 60 minutes a hour,
Whatever he does
Whoever he is

XC skiing today

Cross country skiing lesson this morning
at nursery school!
E. was really excited and got ready really early
to be in time at school.
Unfortunately foggy weather,
but I don't think kids care about this sort of things!

Please, come in

Welcome in my house!

Everything is fine again!

Everything looks under control.
No more virus circulating. I Hope!
Time to wake up and go to nursery school.

Staring out the window

A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning,
as if supported by the rays of the sun,
a bird settled on the fire escape,
JOY in the task of coffee,
JOY accompanied me as I walked.
Anais Nin (click here for music)

Stackars liten!

E. is sick.
Nothing serious or painful.
Just annoying stomach problems.
Probably some virus circulating in the nursery school.
So we are stuck at home.

A new dawn

Each time dawn appears,
the mystery is there in its entirety.

Time for a glass of wine

Down in the valley, in the hills area of villages/wine zones in northeastern Piedmont, called Gattinara, flourishes the nebbiolo grape.Whereas the vastly more famous Barolo and Barbaresco wine zones are located in Piedmont’s southeastern corner, Gattinara anchors the so called “northern nebbiolo” territory, which extends roughly from Torino to Lago Maggiore.
Gattinara wines, as well as those of the other well-known northernappellations, such as Carema, Ghemme, and Fara, are typically based on nebbiolo but incorporate other weird northern Piedmont varieties such as uva rara, vespolina, and bonarda.
Gattinara undergoes an aging regimen similar to that of Barolo; it is aged a minimum of three years before release, with a minimum of one of those years in wood (Barolo spends two of its minimum three years in wood).
And, like Barolo, a good Gattinara is all about the
heady, rosy perfume of nebbiolo. Generally speaking
Gattinara wines are a little higher in acid and a little leaner than heir southeastern cousins, but I've had many a Gattinara wine that can rival Barolo in depth and complexity.
