Friday night

Last night we were at the
final performance
organized by the summer school
We had a lot of fun
Music, singing, funny acting
E. acted in Old MacDonald song
as a OX
This year the summer school
was a really good and educational
experience for E.

Today we have a birthday party at E's cousin.

A cup of coffee

I'm not very fond of coffee indeed
but every time we have guests
you cannot finish a lunch
without a cup of coffee
We have an expresso machine
which is mainly for guests
since I just drink instant coffee with milk
mainly in the morning
and M. drinks American coffee
We also have this typical
MOKA machine
that we use every now and then

Something strange

E. has got a strange fever (37,2-37,5).

Not so high indeed
(apart from Monday when temperature
was around 38,5 and he was really tired)
He looks healthy

No symptoms

like vomit or cough, cold or sore throat

I heard other kids in the summer school

had just this fever

but I would prefer

everything were under control

before we leave.

very weak and really tired lately

Summer dawn

M. took a long walk on the mountains
right up our house early in the morning
last Sunday
He needed some exercise to relax

and some fresh air

to get rid of the heat of the last days

He explored the ridge of the mountain
looking for hidden and lost paths
through ghost villages
and whistling marmots

Simply a wonderful chilly summer evening
North wind brought some fresh air
and clear blue sky
11 degrees in the morning
& sweater in the evening
but still warm in the sun

Special guests

My sister's kids L. & C.
will be our guests tonight.
They will have dinner and sleep at us
They get along very well with E.
And they are really nice kids
E. is really excited at the idea
of his cousins sleeping here.

Yesterday was a busy day for E.

As every Thursday : excursion in the mountains

with summer school

Hiking in the Nature Reserve

at the feet of the glacier this time.

Rain came in the afternoon

but the kids enjoyed anyway

singing and dancing under a big roof

outside the mountain refuge.

I was a bit worried

when I saw heavy rain, lightings and strong wind blowing

(a sort of whirlwind)

from the windows of my office

but fortunately in the mountains there was just

"ordinary" rain

E.'s swimming pool got a bit too small now.

It was fine when he was a baby

but now it looks like more a TUB.

It's fine just to get some fresh

and playing in the water.

and in the small palstic pool (E.)

Not so hot as in the previous days

Yesterday we went to a
big W A T E R P A R K
not far from were we live
with my sister and some friends
A lot of F U N
E. was not very fond of
"extreme" water slides
(unlike M.)
He enjoyed much more at
small kids slides and in the
pool with "fake" waves

It's Friday!

Here we are F R I D A Y at last!
Still really H O T
Yesterday I put the thermometer
outside in the sun
it almost exploded.
Temperature got up to 49 degrees
(then I put it inside)
Temperature in the office was around 30 degrees
Fortunately at home we have around 24 degrees
and sleeping is no problem.
Tomorrow BEACH DAY ......

Today is a gift

My flowers on the balconies are a bit lazy
I'm really jealous of these balconies
with a big amount of coloured flowers
I've been taking care of them
but probably I don't have a real "green thumb"
The ones in the garden are much better
but they are gift from my mom
She has a real green thumb
