UNDER THE BRIDGE

  

Yesterday we took our mountain bike

and cycled 4 Km to reach this really nice site

with foaming waterfall.

Since there was a lot of snow in the mountains in Spring

there's still a lot of water in the rivers
due to the snow melting from the glacier
and to the recent rainstorms.

E. was a bit uncertain

(even if he had been here last year

diving from the rocks)

since the waterfall

with all that water, foam, stream and noise

was a bit scary indeed.

 Daddy showed the stream was not so strong

even near the waterfall.

Last advice before diving.

Unfortunately I was joining them under the bridge

when E. decided to jump

and I could not see the dive.

When I got there I found my wet kid 

wrapped in his towel.

Back home to have lunch.

But first a stop just round the corner

of the bridge to buy an icecream.

SWIMMING DAY TODAY

Today E. will spent the afternoon

in the swimming pool

with the Summer school.

I will pick him up at the pool

and we will have a big ice cream together.

YOU ARE MY SUN

BABY SITTING

 

Just one more refreshing bath

in the river under daddy's supervision.

Water is not very high,

there no danger to drown

and it's almost impossible to swim

but the cold water gives an instant relief

from theSummer heat.

FOOTBALL TRAINING

 Last Saturday a football match.

cousins against cousins.

This is a very popular game in Italy

very common in bars many years ago

and very common today among kids.

E. spent almost all day with them

at the river beach, in their garden, at lunch,

at our home bathing at the small river behind our house

 and at dinner in their garden.

They get along quite well

and E. is always looking for somebody to play with.

Fortunately they leave quite near our house 

so  he can walk or cycle on his own to their house

and viceversa.
