One last magic night

Presents days are over
So many, too many maybe
But the magic of these days
will not last forever

Candies or coal?

 Tonight

the 3 Wise Men
Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar
will get to the crib with their presents
and will close the curtain on Christmas

 Tonight

Befana
the old lady looking like a witch
riding a broom through the air
will enter the houses through the chimneys
in search of Baby Jesus
and fill kids'socks with
candies and presents
 if they have been good
or a lump of coal
if they are have been bad

 Holiday
till Sunday
So probably we will keep Christmas decorations
for a some more days
We are in the Alps
so we can linger some more days
before putting everything
 back in the boxes
isn't it?
(M. doesn't agree with me )

Solar eclipse

So dark
when we woke up this morning.
Foggy, cloudy and solar eclipse going on.
So gloomy and dark
when we arrived up on the ski slopes
around 9,00
I don't know if it was because of the
solar eclipse or because of the clouds
Anyway around 11,00
we got better visibility
despite of the grey clouds

Buonanotte

The men of my life
are sleeping upstairs
both really tired
Exhausting days

I really like this part of the day
Silence all around me
but the consciousness that
I'm not
alone

Goodnight

Early start

So early start every morning
even on holiday!
Ski school start at 9,30
Once we are awake is fine
but getting out of  the bed
when it's dark
it's a bit annoying
E. is improving a lot
Now he is skiing with parallel skis
and most of all on the edges .....

Do all the good you can
By all the means you can
In all the ways you can
In all the places you can
At all the times you can
To all the people you can
As long as
 you can

Carpe diem

Still on holiday
Many New Year's resolutions
Many hopes in my heart
Many opportunities to seize

Today
I just want
to enjoy this day
H O M E
with my
kid

The best gift

There's nothing
sadder
in this world
than to awake
Christmas morning
and not be a
child.

The letter in the end was sent
(E. wrote it on his own in his bedroom on Xmas Eve)
Milk, cookies and a very nice drawing
laid on the small table in the bedroom
Everything ready for the
magic night

No Nintendo Ds in the parcels
but the gifts exactly according to the letter
M. & I have been wondering
if  we were buying too many gifts for him
Wha if  he will turn to be a spoilt kid ?
But I really like to look at him opening his parcels
on Christmas morning
It's like to be a kid again

The best
of all
gifts
around any Christmas tree:
the presence of a
happy family
all wrapped up in each other.
