Who am I ?

Who you are is someone
who asked to be dropped off on earth
so you could do something remarkable,
something that really mattered to you.

It's Carnival!

It's Carnival time in Italy.
Here in the valley Carnival celebrations begins
on the 6th of January
(the last day of Cristmas Holidays)
and goes on until Ash Wednesday,
the first day of Lent which is the 40 days before Easter.
Kids and adults like to wear in disguise
and take part in masquerades in the streets
or in the several parties you can find everywhere.
Down in town we also have the
parade of floats (click) and masks,
usually made of paper-pulp,
depicting caricatures of popular people,
such as politicians, sportsman and showmen.

Yesterday E. & I went to one of this big floats parade

Lavender nuances

There's a few things I've learned in life:
Always throw salt over your left shoulder,
Keep rosemary by your garden gate,
Plant lavender for good luck,
And fall in love whenever you can.

Home alone

It's snowing today, large, slow snow flakes.I love it so much
I'm home. Unfortunately sick!
Weekend virus goes on chasing us!
Anyway at least today
I can find some time just for me
No rush or urge to do something.
Only taking care of myself.

Earth teach me to forget myself
as melted snow forgets its life.

Earth teach me resignation
as the leaves which die in the fall.

Earth teach me courage
as the tree which stands all alone.

Earth teach me regeneration
as the seed which rises in the spring.

Mamma, ti voglio bene

"Mummy. I LOVE YOU!"
I cannot think of a better way to start my day:
my kid holding me tight in his warm hug
telling me he loves me.

I don't wish to be everything to everyone,
but I would like to be something to someone.

Full moon

I really like winter nights with full moon.
The snow caressed by the moonlight
gives magical feelings to the night.
Here on the mountains moolight is so magical.
This silver light is something
you cannot see when you are down in town
and in winter everything shines in this strange
silver light!

Back to "dagis"

E. is fine again. No more flu virus.
I hope all the bactirias always circulating at nursery school
will keep away from him
